All of our holiday houses enjoy a stunning rural location on the edge of a medieval hamlet, offering spectacular views of the valleys below. We can offer you five independent holiday houses each with its own garden or terrace and a shared inground pool. All houses provide exposed beams, original terracotta tiles pavements and either Tuscan rural or modern design furniture. An added plus is the neighbouring farm, where you'll be able to buy freshly laid eggs and vegetables pulled right out of their field. The area has a great friendly atmosphere and you'll feel right at home during your stay.
Whether you're after adventure or seeking a serene sojourn, you'll find something to suit you here. The beautiful countryside offers you every opportunity to sit under a tree and read a book, and equally to blaze through the forest on a mountain bike. Bagni Di Lucca presents a welcoming starting point to your Tuscan exploration, and the larger neighbouring towns offer an exciting chance to study the impressive architecture and lively culture of the region. There are a range of outdoor sports and activities to take part in nearby, such as golf, horse riding, canoeing and skiing, so there's no reason to ever get bored - having said that, no-one would hold it against you if you decided instead to lounge by the pool all day!

Lucca Area
Bagni di Lucca (at 5 km from our village), is a nice tourist resort, where you will find general stores, shops and sport centers (public swimming pool, tennis courts, chemist, supermarkets, etc.) and a beautiful spa, beloved destination of artists like Byron, Shelley, Puccini, Metternich and Radestsky. Traces of this glorious past are to be found in its monuments: the English Church, the Catene bridge, the Spa, the villas, the Casino, etc. The Casino was the first gambling house to be opened in Europe. It was closed in the 19th century, but during the last years it has been perfectly restored and reopened as a wonderful location for parties and wedding receptions. The town has a couple of good trattorias, where you can taste our traditional cuisine based on simple ingredients like mushrooms, chestnuts, sausages, stakes etc. Enjoy beautiful walks, bicycle or horse rides on the hills around our property, full of churches and Roman parishes: S.Pietro in Corsena, Pieve and San Cassiano di Controne, Montefegatesi, Casabasciana and Vicopancellorum. Nearby, Borgo a Mozzano and the Maddalena bridge, better known as the Devil’s bridge, the little canyon Orrido di Botri, the Garfagnana villages, Barga with its typical historical centre, Coreglia Antelminelli and its Museum of Plaster Figures and Emigration are just a few of the places worth a visit. Lucca (25 km), Pisa (50km) and the close Tyrrhenian coast, (or Versilia-Viareggio beaches, 40km) offer further opportunities for food, culture and activity! Closest airports: Pisa (PSA; 50 km) or Florence (FLR; 85 km). Clostest train station: Bagni di Lucca/Fornoli (10 km). Daily bus service from Guzzano (our village) to Lucca (about 30 min. drive).

Guzzano (our hamlet) is a tiny little village perched on a hill around Bagni di Lucca. At the beginning of the XX century a lot of its inhabitants sought their fortune abroad. Most of their grandchildren still live outside Italy but come back here for holidays once in a while. Some English tourists bought a house in our village, following up a long tradition which dates back to the XIX century, when English poets or artists like the Brownings were literally enraptured with our surroundings.
Closest family run grocery store is at 2 km from us (walking distance). They sell besides fresh bread and delicious "schiacciata" (flat bread) every day. Chez our neighbor farmer (5 meters from us!) you can purchase eggs and seasonal vegetables (such as tomatoes, salad...) to be plucked right from his garden.

A deposit equal to 30% of the total rent, in Euro, by wire transfer or credit card through paypal, paid net of all bank or paypal charges, is due to confirm your reservation. Balance: bank transfer (Euro), 6 weeks prior to arrival. A booking confirmation with directions and a map of the village will be emailed to you after receipt of your deposit.
